Today is National Jersey Day. For us here in Alberta it reminded us of the Junior Hockey team that was involved in that horrible bus accident last Friday. For us here in Edmonton it has been hard as eight of the young men killed were from Edmonton or the greater Edmonton area
I have only learnt of this sad accident from your post. And I was enjoying looking at the sports shop. Prayers for all those who lost their lives and for their relatives and friends.
I work at our local hospital and a lot of us wore Jersey's to work yesterday! Such a sad event to happen to so many young men! :( Thoughts are with all those families suffering!
I was so saddened by that accident. It's hard enough when an accident takes place- but even harder when young lives are lost.
Having grown up in the state of New Jersey- not too far from a city called "Jersey City" so you can imagine what I was reminded of when I first saw the name of this store.
@janeandcharlie Thanks Jane. We will get through it. There have been a couple of good things to come out of this. One player donated his organs and six people were the reciepients. One of the survivors who was paralyzed has determined to be a participant for Canada in the next Paralympics in 2022
