So todaywas the Memorial service for Melody. It was a beautiful day with bright blue sky's which she always loved. I was overwhelmed in a good way by the number of people that were there for the service.
This is a display that sat at the front of the church. The flowers were from the funeral home. On the left are some books she wrote and on the right is one of her many hats.
I would like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to all of my friends here on 365 for the love and support you have shown me during this time.

This all seems very surreal Brian. I can hardly believe your lovely wife is no longer on this earth. You must be in a daze. Seeing her hat there too, we saw her wearing that. You must be consoled with your strong faith & to know she is with her God. Still hard though. I’m going to my friends funeral tomorrow & her husband must feel as you do, they have no family so it’s lonely I’m sure.
@happypat Yes Pat it is very surreal. I know my faith is helping me through all of this and my family and close friends have been an amazing support for me.
My heart is broken for you. A wonderful tribute and service for the love you, family and friends had for Melody. She certainly had the perfect name. Don't let the music stop with her. Again, take good care. Take your time.
