A visit to Strawberry Hill House today after breakfast at Lara's - created by Horace Walpole in the mid-18th century in a fine example from the Gothic revival - now specifically known as Strawberry Hill gothic. Lots of marvellous Renaissance stained glass, over-the-top gothic fireplaces and a first floor gallery with gilded fan vaulting.
Left after this to rush back home so that Dave could get to Halford's to buy a jack before they closed - back to mundanity.
