One of the bizarre decorated telephone boxes that are dotted about London at the moment, this one in Covent Garden - ‘The Smile of A Tear’ created by Lidia de Pedro and Fee Fee La Fou apparently.
A half day at work today but unfortunately not a productive one as, because of IT failures, I couldn’t get a single thing done. Left at 1-ish to dash to the Covent Garden outdoor shops to take a look at dry bags, in the light of the monsoon-like weekend weather forecast. Came away with a bit of a haul including a waterproof poncho and camera bag – then had to curtail my shopping trip so that I could rush home and pick up Dave’s waterproof jacket that he’d forgotten to pack …
Then off to Turkey St to meet Dave and drive off to Norfolk with great big puffy cumulus clouds making the sky look very pretty. Arrived at the very friendly Blue Boar inn just north of Norwich in time for dinner (seabass and apple pie – all very tasty) and a couple of drinks, before retiring to our enormous bedroom – a bit of luxury before our weekend of ‘rough camping’.
