I love this sculpture - it fits so well with the shingle beach and the sense of 'otherness' in Aldeburgh. I've always been amazed it was so controversial

This looks great! I heard a piece about it on the radio a couple of days ago and, having never seen it, I imagined it must be terrible from all the fuss. Love Arvo Part too.

@dh I can't remember the exact details but I think it was the usual too modern, not appropriate to remember Britten sort of thing

@ruthhill75 - yes we rather liked it - I think the criticism I've seen recently is that it looks OK from afar on the beach but not so good close-up - but hey, I suspect it's supposed to make an impression as viewed from afar.
