Found mainly on the southern side of the Isle of Wight - and only a few other locations. We came across a group of people hunting around on the coastal path to Freshwater. Asking them what they were looking for, they told us about this beauty - and we found one.
It's named after the naturalist who discovered it, Lady Eleanor Glanville, an eccentric 17th- and 18th-century English butterfly enthusiast – obviously very unusual for a woman at that time.
