God Save the King!

She had 48hrs previously invited the new Conservative leader to form a government. Though she looked incredibly frail, she looked reasonably ok for a woman of the great age of 96! So, I think it was a bit of a surprise !

I have been watching the news all morning in the USA. Her 96 year old frail body finally gave out but she worked until the very end. She was fortunate to not have a long illness. A remarkable long reign and sad day. She can now rest with her Prince.

I have been watching on and off all day, and even now, to the tributes on TV here in the USA. I think it's remarkable that she met with the new conservative leader just 2 days ago. I loved seeing the picture of the rainbow over the palace.
