Floral Tributes

In London for the day today. These are just one display of many! The flowers are moved daily into Green Park. I wasn’t expecting them to be in arrangements, but they were & they make such an amazing sight & smell! They will all be turned into compost eventually.

I remember being in London for a meeting so I went to Kensington Palace really as a tourist, to see Diana's national outpouring of floral tributes. The smell was over powering, with the rustling of the cellophane in the breeze and my one thought was that the florists were doing ok!!

I have the same thought here, with the added ecological concern about all that one time use plastic!!!

The queue to sign Diana's book of condolence was very long, but not the miles for HM. Did you join that to see her coffin in person?
