Phil & I visited the National Memorial Arboretum today. This exhibit in the Far East section was featured on TV at the weekend as part of the 75th commemoration. Prince Charles laid a wreath. Consequently all the flowers were still there, making a beautiful subject!
Nice image. It was an extraordinarily good service/programme from the National Memorial Arboretum. I have never been there but we have plans to rectify this in September.
The Far East are was very moving; the actual lengths if the Burma Railway, decorated by the flowers from last weekend’s memorial service made it even more ‘beautiful’ (if I can use that word). I understand even more Why Leo never talked about his time as a guest of the Imperial Japanese Army
