Lovely shot. Every time I see photos of goldfinches they remind me of our first posting with the RAF at Scampton. We saw one of these birds in our garden, got out the trusty bird book and looked it up. We saw that it was indeed a goldfinch and they lived in weedy waste places. Our garden at the time definitely fitted the bill.
