Today's challenge was what I did this morning.
My immediate world is fine. Michael's - not so much.
For a man that had life all worked out it is really tough to find out that you are not in charge. Still no closing in site on the house. We are no closer to understanding this than the same story that the folks in Texas did not have all the correct paperwork in place in time. But today's bitter pill to swallow is that Garrett is not registered for Kindergarten. Michael had talked to the nicest lady about a month ago and sent all the paperwork. This was at the administration and not the local school itself as it was closed for summer. Another long story short - she dropped the ball. Now they can only get him into a morning session instead of all day which he is ready for. All of his records are in limbo loaded on a truck that is who knows where at this point.
I should show you chaos. That would be oh so appropriate for the world that is spinning around me. Instead, I voted for humor. I went outside with the macro lens to find some peace, which with the help of the lavender and the bee balm, I did. I also found some laughter!
"For every turn, turn, turn, turn....there is a reason, turn, turn, turn..............
I usually feel there is a reason why things turn out the way they do. LOVE this shot. Should have marked it X rated for the children on 365 LOL !!!
Sorry to read about all these problems, hopefully they will get sorted out soon.
At least you still get pleasure and a laugh with your camera.
Great shot, and you see, your not the only one being screwed !!
Great shot of insect porn, Cathy - lol! And as far as the problems, this too shall pass. A bad day in America for us would be a daydream to people living in third world countries. Gotta keep the perspective on things, I always say.
Cathy these things are said to try us... and that they do. I am sure, that given time every thing will eventually fall in place - so my thoughts are with you while the dust settling process occurs. Im so glad you could find a little humour in your day and tickled that you got to share it with us. Chin up everything will be fine :)
Golly gosh... when you said what you did this morning........!!!
Anyway I can feel the frustrations and anxieties from here... and really sympathise. I have a fridge magnet (bought in Bruges oddly enough) which says 'life can only be understood backwards but has to be lived forwards'.... maybe it will all make sense one day :)
Great macro shot with incredible details! I'm sorry that your life is filled with chaos. Your instinct to find solace in the garden with your camera is spot on! Good for you for finding the humour - it will keep you sane!
Perfect shot to ease some of your pain. Am so sorry to hear what you're all going through. But maybe something really good will come out of all this; just have to see how it all goes. My thoughts are with you, Cathy. And good on you for getting out in the garden for this fabulous shot.
Ha ha aha!!! amazing what you will find amid the chaos! This is an awesome macro. The rest of your life may be in crisis but your artistic ability is certainly not!
Beautiful capture Cathy - is there no privacy- ha ha!The clarity is awesome bringing out that shot effect of their abdomens. It just has to be a fav, it's written all over it! Hope things set sorted out for you and the stress eases!!
@lorraineb Thanks for the fav, Lorraine. I needed that! @kdimagery Thank you, Kd. They just continued to do what they were doing the closer I got. @meisen325 They are pretty colored even though they are flies. @sailingmusic Are there children? I didn't think of that. @shannew Kindergarten is the biggest pain. The move seems to be sorting out this morning. @humphreyhippo On days like that you have to laugh. I am an ugly crier so laughing is more my style. @windridge Thank you Susan. They were definitely sharing all the details. @jdonnelly Joseph you got it!! That is what I was sort of saying with this one and you said right out loud!! @hollandcrew Thanks, Al. They are working closer this morning. @soboy5 Danny, that is how I always find my perspective. I was feeling really sorry for myself years ago undergoing extensive physical therapy. And looked across the way and they were teaching a really young stroke victim how to smile again....I have always reached back to that experience when finding perspective. @amandalomonaco I know! I was humming that all day yesterday. @tishpics I never had seen this either. At first I thought one was dead - but then found she just really wasn't enjoying herself. @jesperani Thanks Jennifer. Things always do. @vskolnik Thanks, Vee. All will be fine. @aurorajane This did make me laugh out loud - but not until after I got the shot. @yonnie Some things are better left to the imagination.... @gerry Thanks Gerry. How are you? Have you not been posting shots?? @doorknee71 A little too detailed, I guess. @filsie65 What a cool saying. Going to have to look for one of those. @lwain Maybe a little too much detail @timandelke I never dreamed that I would find the amount of peace that I do with a camera in my hand. Even when I take nothing of value I have fun doing it and "focusing" my mind somewhere else. @girlie Thanks Robin. My two favorite summer things - flowers and cameras. @vickisfotos Vicki - it is a pretty green on green shot. @calm I know - I should have shooed them away after I got my shot. @pammerritt Thank you Pam. I appreciate the comments. @kamb Thanks for the kind words, Karen. @rhos Thanks for the fav, Ann. @sangwann Thanks, Dione. They are sort of pretty for flies. @juanita Thank you , Juanita. @ozziehoffy I was going for the laugh!
@cdonohoue sorry for no photos Cathy 10th August gone I read a comment from a ladie I have never heard of from 365 had no followers or following or photos I did not like her comment , I believe she has deleted the message she sent me , so hope to load up new photos soon. : - )
@gerry Gerry - I missed you and realized I wasn't seeing your work. I don't know what was said to you but whatever it was ignore it. I have made such marvelous friends here that enjoy doing what I enjoy doing and you are a big part of that. Don't let someone hurt you that shouldn't be here anyway. I most particularly loved all of the Olympic shots that you were showing. You were THERE and I got to see through your eyes. I was telling folks in Ohio about you seeing the cyclists! Come Back!!
@cdonohoue Don't worry Cathy I have not given up on all my new friends on 365 Including you , It just stunned me I do hope I do not hear from her again , : - )
Everything happens for a reason they do say Cathy. It's not always clear at the time, but all will work out, in time, I'm sure. There is nearly always solace to be found in nature, lovely capture and I hope the situation with the kindergarten resolves itself happily.
fantastic macro! @cromwell LOL crom you always crack me up.... whenever I am having a bad day I am going to stalk your profile until you come up with some funny witty comment, you really know how to bust out a smile :D
@gerry Gerry, I think she did it to many people, and she was deleted from the project. Hope to hear from you. 99.9% of the people are very nice; that was a rotten apple.
