We have a really fun Thanksgiving tradition. My wonderful DIL includes all of Michael's family in her family's celebration. Her Uncle Joe works part time at a bowling alley that is closed for the holiday. We had about 50 folks gather today. Everybody brings a dish - I made a turkey and cranberry salad. We had a ton of food. Nobody had to clean for days, polish silver or find the china. We do paper plates and throw away table cloths. Clean up afterwards is really easy and one of the guys always runs the sweeper. The kids love it because they get to bowl to their heart's content. The guys were gathered in the bar around the football game on the big screen and I shared a glass of wine with the girls. I didn't get to spend too much time with the kids as they were on the move constantly - but at least they had a big area to run in.
If you live here in the states I hope that you had a blessed Thanksgiving and spent some time counting your blessings. For those of you elsewhere I hope you had a good day.
I love the idea of paper plates! If only I could talk my mother in law into that lol. Sounds like a great way to spend Thanksgiving. Great shot of the bowling balls:)
