By tomorrow, my blooms will be all on the ground--just a phone shot, but yesterday I was a slug and only went for my "walk and talk" I arrange with a friend in NY. I love all the blossoms on the ground. Spring in GA is really spectacular this year rolling out in waves of trees by Pear, Cherry, now Dogwoods. Flowers are Daffodils, then Hyacinths, then tulips.
This is from yesterday as I haven't taken today's shot yet, but I did my 9th weigh in on WW and I'm officially down 20 lbs. I bought three shirts down 2 sizes on a whim (which I felt was a great risk), but they all fit! Whew! I'm so glad when I do get back to the gym, it won't be to lose weight--it will be to have fun.
Also, I was finally able to schedule my 2nd vaccine over the weekend (I had not been able to get that scheduled with my 1st vaccine), so I am one step closer to being fully vaccinated!
A lovely tree (yes, the blooms don't stay for long) Congrats on both WW and your vaccine schedule! Yay - I have been surprised and pleased by the organization of the vaccines in Middle TN - they schedule your 2nd shot when you get the 1st - same time exactly in 3 weeks - easy to remember.
The tree looks beautiful! Spring is such a gorgeous time of the year! Well done on your weight loss! You are doing so well! Great news on getting the date for your second vaccination! I am waiting to hear when I will get my invitation.
@linnypinny in GA, almost everyone I know had their 1st and 2nd ones rescheduled EXCEPT if you did it through the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (which made me drive 1.5 hours away and had no 2nd appt.). We have all people over 16 able to get vaccines, but it's the wild, wild west getting one if you live in the Metro Atlanta area. And I got to my 2nd appointment by RANDOM 2am worrying and sleeplessness. Crazy, but thankful I have the 2nd scheduled, and will have to drive 1.5 hours again. Hopefully it won't be 1.5 hours wait again--that was a very full day!
@fueast After my birthday passed in January, I really just had a serious talk with myself because I love exercising, and I've been overweight for a long time with tons of exercise even before lockdown. I figured this is the only time I have 100% control over what goes in my mouth--no excuses that I'm eating out, that I have a work client somewhere, etc. It was just TIME to do it. :)
@pamknowler I hope you get yours soon! I am looking forward to a short trip after my 2nd. I haven't been anywhere but some gardens, delivering kids to college, and one museum exhibit (this past week--I almost cried from such elation!).
@darylo I am so looking forward to getting my second vaccination! It should be in the next 3/4 weeks. Today UK allowed to meet up 2 households in a park or your garden. Or 6 people from diff households. All outdoors with social distancing. We are walking the dogs every day and the country parks are getting busier. We are hoping to get away to Devon on 15th May - self catering is to be allowed after 12th April. Things are opening very slowly- just hope people follow the rules do we don’t get another wave and another lockdown! There is light at the end of the dark tunnel!
What a gorgeous sign of spring. They canceled "Hanami" in Japan this year because of Covid. Congrats on your WW loss! I've gained it all for you. Stress and emotional eating is not good.
