This is another one of little collectibles we found several years ago, and I thought it would make a nice addition to the theme for the week since it is made of glass. And I had a bit of light shine on me this morning, and I must admit, it caught me by surprise. Several weeks ago I remember filling out a little slip of paper for a chance to win a new set of kitchen appliances. The give away was being sponsored by a local radio station. During our neighborhood meeting this morning at work, the secretary stepped aside to listen to the radio. I wasn't sure what she was doing, but then all of a sudden she looked over at me and said, "You won! You won!" I looked at her and said, what are you talking about? She responded, "You won the appliances!" Couldn't believe it. I've won small little items here and there, but nothing like this. I called my Wife and told her that I had just won a brand new Stainless Steel Refrigerator Freezer, Stainless Steel Range, and a Dishwasher. She was surprised as well, and couldn't believe it. I was feeling a bit out of it as I have a cold, and then with the rain, it was a dreary morning, but what a way to brighten one's day, and what a nice early Christmas gift.
Congratulations Rick on winning all those appliances....I hope your good luck continues. Love that little lamp...better hold onto it, .maybe it's your lucky charm!??? :) Thanks for sharing.

It reminds me of Aladin's lamp... who knows, maybe if you rub it the Genie will come out? ;-) Or, you already did? Congrats on winning the appliances!! What a wonderful pre-Christmas gift!! ;-))
I had a couple of these types of lanterns when I was a kid--I loved using them but I'm sure it must have driven my parents nuts thinking I'd knock them over and set the place on fire.
The photo is awesome too!
I love your shot too.
That's a beautiful lamp, so fitting for the glass theme.
