After the cold snap at the beginning of last week Mt Taranaki has now got a lovely winter coat. This view of the Mountain is from Midhirst and is therefore showing the main peak plus Fantham Peak on the left.
Nice Shot. Love the shape of the mountain from this side. The light in the house makes me imagine the people who live there are warm and cosy in front of a fire.
@littleconnie Thanks Connie I liked the way the snow stood out against the darkening sky. @jamibann@dide@dawnee Thanks so much for commenting @jgpittenger The warm light does give a contrast to the coldness of the image. @thrumylenz The Stratford side is quite a different shape and nice too. The warm glow of that light does give a nice contrast. @moonmtn It does look cold - we did have a bit of a cold snap last week. They don't usually last too long though. @nearlyincontrol Do you come from Taranaki? I see that you say you live in New Zealand, but that is all your blog says!! @merrelyn Thanks Merrelyn :-)
