10th April 2021

1 year, 16 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.

The mass mourning of the Duke of Edinburgh continues today as programmes are cancelled and BBC goes mad on interviewing people very tenuously connected with him.

In the afternoon I bit the bullet and started drafting emails and messages to the various accommodations in Switzerland. I came up with a way to propose changing if required to specific dates next year which hopefully should keep my losses to the bare minimum. Although I cannot believe I may have to cancel/move to next year, I feel a bit better that I’ve got a plan to tackle it.

Later in the day we headed down to the Lock for a breath of fresh air as we had not been out yet. It was really cold but nice to see the trees starting to come out. I also started thinking about mud-larking more which I hope to be able to do in a week or so (based on the tides).
