14th April 2021

1 year, 20 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.

Another big day today… my first haircut since mid December and first set of highlights for well over a year. It was great to see Steph and my head feels lighter. I also got to play with Chester and Harper the Yorkshire Terriers which was nice. It is so nice not to have to tie my hair up in a ponytail each day although I’ll still be putting it up for our ‘trots’ around Bushy Park.

The other very useful thing that Steph tipped me off on was the fact that I can actually book my second vaccination using the NHS app. I have looked at this before but it was not clear if it was allowing me to book the first or second jab and obviously it needs to be the same type of vaccine. I have a 3.05pm appointment on the 4th of June, this time at Sandown Race Course which is a larger vaccine hub. I’d have preferred the Greenwood Centre and in the unlikely event I get another text from my surgery I will try and rebook there is dates are available. However this will be exactly 11 weeks since my first vaccine and in the very unlikely event that we are able to go to Switzerland in June, it is a good few days before that in case I feel rubbish again!

I spent the afternoon pulling greeting cards for the three branches of Waterstones that I counted yesterday.
