The day has finally come, the summer social at Fulwell Golf Club. Luckily is was sunny and mild but not as sweltering hot as a few days ago.
I had to finish a bit of paperwork and then later in the afternoon we set off to the club as I like to dress the tables, link up my laptop to the television and set out the cups signs. We managed all of this in less than half an hour so had time to order a bottle of win of the evening and then sit down.
The Committee members started to arrive from 6.30pm and the evening kicked off. I tried to manage the Treasurer by grabbing the mic at the start but somehow he still interfered with arrangements! Apart from that the food by the new chef was excellent with some hot options. The evening went more quickly than in previous years and there was time to socialise afterwards - all in all a good evening and I took home the remains of my wine for the next day!
