After the excitement of last night, I had to get back over to Molesey to return the table pots I had borrowed from Julia. It’s her birthday today so I stopped in Teddington and bought some red velvet cup cakes and a birthday card before driving over to Molesey, trying to avoid the traffic for the Hampton Court Flower show. I had taken some prints of images for cards that I want to get samples printed for for some feedback. I am going to try some new designs with a more graphic theme, they could be viewed as tacky but I prefer the word ‘kitsch’!
On the way back I diverted over Kingston bridge so I could pick up a few ingredients for our dinner party tomorrow which Teddington cannot offer. It must have been a while since I wandered around Kingston and I discovered two brand new shops - or brand new to me - as apparently one has been there since last August. Both shops are really nice and one in particulate was of interest. It seemed familiar and when I asked, it turns out to be a branch of the chain of shop I discovered in Lille last November - home ware and gifts - all original (a lot are Danish) - and more importantly cheap.
