Following my shot of the gardens at Brodsworth Hall that I uploaded on Monday, I didn't feel that I could move on before including a look at the house itself, so here is a look inside and out.
The shot on the left shows the interior of the main dining room, with its decorated ceiling, and a selection of paintings, forming an attractive setting for the grand dining table.
The shot on the right shows the south and west fronts of the Hall, with croquet in progress on the west lawn.
A fascinating place to look round, and a clear illustration that South Yorkshire is about much more than coal mining and steel making, which is the impression that many seem to have of the area.
Thank you Tony - If you make it over here we'll have to see if we can organise the de-luxe tour. In the meantime we'll try and share some more interesting places with you.
