Down a little back street, tucked behind new glass and steel buildings, I found this interesting building.
This grade 2 listed building dates from 1913/14 and started life as an Alliance and Assurance building. Later history has it being a Midland bank and latterly the offices of the NSPCC in Sheffield.
The initials stand for National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. The society has a large remit from working with children to running child protection courses for those who work with children.
