Another shot from my autumn walk beside the River Ouse in York. Here I've taken a detour from the riverside into Rowntree Park, and my eye was caught by these brightly coloured orange / brown leaves.
Rowntree Park was York's first municipal park, and was a gift from Joseph Rowntree (1836-1925), owner of York’s chocolate manufacturers Rowntree & Co. It was also a memorial to the 200 Rowntree workers who had died during the conflict of the First World War.
Well thank you all once again for your comments and favs, which made this shot the third of my autumn series to make the popular page. It was hard not to take bright colourful images with such a vivid autumn display and lovely autumn sunlight.

Thank you both - this could qualify for my brightest colour of the year shot!
