Catkins

Taken a few days ago, when the sun was still shining, before the present rainy spell. I think this is hazel catkin, but I am not sure. If it is, it is at least a month early, and is another indicator of how warm the winter has been, compared with an average winter.

The day this photo was taken was the same day that Katharine and I went to the Homestead Park, and was a beautiful, sunny winters day, and I keep being drawn back to the photos taken that day when I'm looking what to post.
