Running north to south through Rowntree Park is a long narrow lake, divided into two halves where it narrows in the middle and is crossed by a pedestrian bridge.
This shot was taken from the southern end of the lake looking along it's length. There are lots of birds in and around the lake, and a surfaced path around the edge of the lake makes a very pleasant walk.
I do remember the outdoor swimming pool, but I never made any use of it. In the 1970s most of my time was spent in th northern half of the city, since it was where I lived and where I worked.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is a pleasant walk around the lake, and there were quite a few others enjoying the lake and the rest of the park while I was there.
