Taken yesterday afternoon a few minutes before the shot of the fisherman which I posted yesterday. I haven't been very successful with previous attempts to take a shot of the moon in the daytime, but I thought this was better, and worth posting.
The shot was deliberately underexposed and then contrast and brightness increased when I had copied it to my laptop. The result was clearer than that achieved with a correct exposure and no adjustments.
This pic. reminds me to a song populair in my childhood : "Blue Moon" is a popular song written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1934 that has become a standard ballad. Early recordings included those by Connee Boswell and by Al Bowlly in 1935. The song was a hit twice in 1949, with successful recordings in the U.S. by Billy Eckstine and Mel Tormé Great shot. Fav.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It's always interesting to lok at moon photos, with the sunlight and shadow on the craters giving a good impression of the dramatic landscape. My eye was particularly drawn to the crater in the shady area towards the left of the shot.
