This shot was taken on Sunday evening, shortly after sunset, from our garden. There was quite a layer of cloud, but with large breaks to the west and north-west allowing the sun to illuminate the underside of the clouds in this way from below the horizon.

I don't always pay enough attention to the spectacular skies at this time of year, since they aren't immediately visible from our home. I take more notice in the winter when the sun sets directly in front of our house. Fortunately I spotted the reflection of this colourful sky on a glossy calendar, and dashed out to take a few shots.
The heather is nearly there, we were there this afternoon and the honey perfume was beautiful.
