Always carry a flagon of whiskey
in case of snakebite
and furthermore
always carry a small snake.

After our My Old Kentucky Home tour, we set off to visit Makers Mark to take a distillery tour, part of the Bourbon Trail. We had time to have lunch first and I also ordered a delicious Ale8 (Kentucky ginger ale) Makers Mark Slush. Yum. The grounds were well manicured. It was a beautiful place. Top notch employees, tour and business. They had a shuttle bus service and another great gift shop. We had a tasting of 5 different bourbons (way too strong for me) however I did enjoy the chocolate covered bourbon ball. Before we left, we each bought a bottle of bourbon and we got to dip the red wax seal over the cap ourselves, their trademark...so fun! Then, it was time to hit the road and head back to Cincinnati. The end of another great adventure.
The Bourbon Trail is one of my favorite things to do in Kentucky. So much more fun doing it with you. A side note: the Maker's Mark Ale8 Slushie ended up on the trunk carpet of my car but all was okay. We got it up in time before the whole car smelled like bourbon!! 😅
Great collage and sounds like a wonderful day
