Why not go out on a limb.
That is where the fruit is.

We visited the Courtland Pear Fair on Sunday. It was the 48th annual fair after missing two pandemic years. They have THE very best Pear Pies! We bought two (they must weigh 5lbs.), plus 6 pounds of fresh pears, pear streusel, a slice of pear pie and a Prickly Pear succulent.
They offer a couple of runs (5 & 10 mile), pancake breakfast, parade, duck calling contest, pie eating contest, crafts and more.
You should have seen the 100’s of vehicles lined up trying to get into the parking field when we left at noon. At $20 a car, they made a lot of money for the Courtland Volunteer Fire Association, Education Scholarships and local community organizations.
We drove all the way out there last year, then found out it had been cancelled but still turned out to be a fun day trip!
