My first day attempting ICM and I think this was the best of the lot. Let me know what you think and all suggestions on doing these ICM shots are more than welcome.

I like that you kept the shape - I wind up with just a blob! Have little success with ICM. Color is nice.

@milaniet Thanks for the input and comment....yes, the first ones I could have called "painterly" but they were really just big blobs! Took a while to be able to keep the shape, lots of different shutter speeds.

Nice effect, I think ICM works best with limited colour range. Was this side to side? Twisting can work well too.

I also had to look it up. I do this all the time, just not on purpose. ;) I like that one can still recognize the original subject.

@laroque Thanks, Tim, and yes, it was left-to-right movement. Not exactly sure what you mean by twist, but I did try one today in a circular motion. thanks for the on-going encouragement!

Excellent job on your first ICM. This yellow flower made a great subject. Love how the color seems to be coming off the edges!
