We have been to Debenhams today to look for Prom dresses in the sale. The Prom itself isn't until July but just thought there might be something slightly reduced at this time of the year & also plenty of choice too!
Cathy & I really enjoyed watching Lydia trying on lots of styles..did she want long, short , what colour , nothing the remotest bit tarty , so many to choose from!
Any way in the end she thought a really good opportunity to wear long & decide this was the one !! The colour is called Pebble & really suited her fairer colouring . It is chiffon & very floaty which is what she wanted &will be able to wear little flat pumps on her feet .
She was very pleased !!!
I am miles behind with commenting again , that's the trouble with going out ...I will catch up after tea !

How beautiful she looks in that dress . . what a great photo shot. She'll have this day to remember forever. I think you always know what dress is right as soon as you put it on! It FEELS right.
She looks gorgeous - these girls are so grown up - I'd have looked like a boy in a dress at that age! So nice of her to try lots on as well - Rachel tried on two with her long-suffering friends and then I was summoned to pay! She did look lovely but I think my money's worth should include lots of oohing and aahing as well!!
She does indeed look wonderful..and i am thankful that the word prom is safely behind me..good luck for that day forever etched on the old mind it does indeed drive one to Chardonnay...
@judithg Definitely you were due a bit of ooh & ahh time & we did enjoy looking at all the different ones but Lydia was quite decided in the end which she did or did not like & would not be swayed! Surprisingly we did see another dress for every day which I was dying to buy her but she prefers sweat shirts & jeans so I couldn't persuade her.
What a beautiful dress - love the colour and style. The model is perfect - what a gorgeous, gorgeous girl. She has a winning smile and looks magnificent. I hope she enjoys her night out - even though it is in July.

Looks lovely, colour, style, and model in it. Bet you had a lovely time shopping with them. i would love to have some females to shop with. Only one son and hubby always stays home working. Great photo to remember this special day shared with your Grandaughter.
