When we were driven out of Hawkshead by the rain last Monday we went shopping in Kendal. I bought something for Jack that wouldn't fit so this morning I went in pouring rain back to Kendal to return it.
I have never seen so much rain but by the time I arrived it was warm & dry.
Love all the little passages which they call yards in Kendal.....one called Wainwrights Yard after the famous walker & writer of Lakeland books.
Kendal is a fantastic little town with many photo opportunities.
Our farm treasure tramp tonight up at Tewitfield so going to be bad at commenting again I am afraid.... so sorry!
Also going to miss the end of the Murray match at Wimbledon... do hope he wins!
@jimmyveee@jtookey150@kwiksilver A treasure Tramp is where ideally you stroll around a beautiful farm in the evening sun with a list of clues you have to look for in the fields & tracks as you walk.
Instead it turns out to be a wade through muddy puddles in the rain trying to keep the question paper dry & you can't answer any of the questions they are so obscure. A dried up cottage pie to finish up & have to buy your own drink on top when you have paid £6. I was so busy listening to the Andy Murray game I left my camera behind too so there are no photos.
