A selfie today as I wanted to show you my new spectacles, they are tortoiseshell & although I only wear them for reading & driving I thought my old silver ones were very dated. I am quite pleased with them!
Three good things:
1. Hot water bottles!
2. Habro Jelly Babies.
3. Deal or No Deal!!! I am rather ashamed of putting this as a good thing as it is really very low brow TV but Harry & I love it when we have finished our jobs & sit having a cup of tea next to the Aga, specially in the winter.
Those look great on you. The shape is perfect for your face. Mine are also tortoiseshell but I wear them all the time. I take them off for reading and sometimes for using the computer, like now.
fabulous selfie Pat - and look at you with your new specs and all!!
not into hot water bottles but am totally with you on the Jelly babies and certainly on Deal...addicted to that one!
Pat, I find myself getting into the tension of it and shouting at the TV!! Is it bad to say I play Deal on the pub machines where you answer questions to have the opportunity to pick boxes...me and my mate have great fun with it!! (Just don't tell anyone!!)
Love, love those frames on you, Pat! A perfect look for you! Such a beautiful self portrait ~ you look fabulous! And that new camera is kind of cute too. :)
@phil_howcroft I thought so myself Phil& I think those old glasses were really ready for changing but my word glasses are a price now specially varifocals!!!! Thank you for your nice words!!
@meisen325 LOL - I like the thought of 'unreading' glasses!! These look really great Pat - Adam would approve - he likes a nice tortoiseshell pair - and he's very trendy! It's horrible choosing glasses when you can't see what you look like - I'm sure I saw a thing in Boots where they were photographing people using a webcam and then showing them the picture once they'd put their old pair back on!! Nice camera too - a nice shirt! Deal or No Deal is addictive - I do the ironing to it sometimes but quite often people have got quite a big win and then gamble it and I'm thinking if somebody told you to put that much on a horse you'd think they were crazy!!
@judithg I agree you can be too greedy!
I have discovered a slight flaw in my specs this morning, they are leaving a red mark either side of my nose....not a good look!!!! My old ones had adjustable cushions on either side but these are fixed into the frame. Will have to learn to just perch them on the bridge of my nose for the time being until the optician can have a look . Have a horrible feeling if I had gone to my local opticians as usual they would have pointed this out but these large chains perhaps not as particular although I have no problem with the service. We shall see!
Probably need to adjust the fit - it's all about getting the right people - my favourite optician moved to Bury St Edmond's - I'm tempted to go over there as I haven't been happy since!
Well hello there happy Pat! *waves* Lovely selfie! And there's no shame in loving deal or no deal - I was a box opener once! (But not an actual contestant, sadly). I have been to see it live probably 10-15 times!!!
@wrighty Wow licky you& Deal or No Deal has many more secret admirers than I ever thought!! I have never ever heard one person before this say they watched it!!!!! I would love to open a box!

Thank you all very much, always a bit of a gamble if you have picked the right ones!!!!
Suit you very nicely.
