Bird flats.. by happypat

Bird flats..

My friend Eileen & I have had a fantastic day at the open gardens in Whitechape & Inglewhite.

A country area some of the gardens were a couple of acres so plenty of scope to make something very special...I think lots of us went home with renewed enthusiasm for gardening!!

I particularly liked the many different areas of seating in many of the gardens..you could follow the sun, take a book into the many sort of room areas...hide from the family!!

A catching up night on 365 tonight!

Three good things:
1. A very enlightening day in some delightful gardens !
2. I bought a very large dog bowl in a garage sale for £2, ideal for the ducks that visit.
3. A picnic on a rug in the sun.
I love how they trim these bushes. Sounds like a good day out.

Your picnic sounds wonderful - oh for a glimpse at the sun. This is what I think of as English formal gardens. Lovely shot.

An idyllic day and a more active one than mine (thank goodness for the dog walk or I could never have justified the ice cream!)

@jgpittenger I think it's a light if I remember rightly Jane! I think looking at it would have been better cropped out!

Like the pigeon loft hiding in the bushes but they don't look very pigeon friendly. Was it inhabited?

@barrowlane No sign of any pigeons Rob....too clean underneath!

The clipped bushes look like a bunch of old fat ladies all standing up to the opposite smug bush! No, seriously they are good to see! And the dovecote. I like your last good thing a lot!

Sounds like a wonderful day at what looks to be a splendid garden! I think I need to take a garden tour to renew my motivation for gardening. The rain has totally dampened my enthusiasm lately.

Cool. There's a 'spontaneous city' in a tree near us full of flats of all sizes from tiny beetles to bats to birds.
