One of the independently owned shops in Garstang selling shoes, bags, jewellery, clothes & accessories plus upstairs there is a large range of hats for hire.
Everything is just that little bit different & this afternoon I had a good browse as Lydia has a Saturday job in this shop.
Three good things:
1. I treated myself!
2. An extra hour in bed tonight although when you are retired & that bit older you don't appreciate it as much!
3. On the other hand an early start tomorrow for Leeds Uni open day.
4. A husband who doesn't mind holding the fort with the B&B while I go off before breakfast. Luckily the B&B's have been lots of times before & are just having porridge etc so will all be ready before I go.
Looks lovely and a great name - and a very stylish Saturday girl. Sounds like a busy Sunday ahead - good job you have that extra hour - just don't be up in the night!
Another super looking little shop - so very inviting with the smiling Lydia in the doorway ! I do love this series of shops Pat . have a good night rest before your early start tomorrow !
What a delightful looking shop...and an adorable and stylish Saturday Girl! A wonderful shot, Pat! Bless Harry for being such good help with the B&B. And safe travels to you tomorrow!
it's a lovely candid shot Pat, and it looks a lovely shop for Lydia to work in.....
Kirsty and Claire both had "Saturday Girl" jobs in local Arnold hairdressers and then they worked on the tills at ASDA Arnold and ASDA allowed them to transfer to tills at the ASDA store local to their universities !! (a lot of big companies let students work in their home town and uni' town)
@phil_howcroft That sounds a great idea Phil...Lydia has another Saturday job too in a gift shop in Longridge but she gets discount at this shop so is very happy to work there as you can imagine. I am sure she will try & get a Saturday job wherever she goes to Uni.
@happypat enjoy your trip to leeds, it might be a bit windy tomorrow !!!...Claire was at Leeds Met Uni'...it's a fab city especially if you are a student...Lydia will be impressed I'm sure :)
