A truly fantastic night tonight at the Victorian Christmas festival but the highlight for everyone was this amazing display of drummers.
Marching & swaying from side to side they all beat a terrific rhythm on the drums ...it was just incredibly up lifting.
I took lots of photos & haven;t looked at them all yet, some I know are rubbish but I will no doubt post some more.
Three good things:
1. The NHS, Harry had an appointment with the eye specialist this morning at Blackpool Victoria Hospital...we were in & out in three quarters of an hour. He has the early signs of Glaucoma so will have to check him out every so often.
2. I have written some cards.
3. Evening meal walking the streets & another new sweater!!!
Love the decorated drums - our grand light switch on was cancelled this year - maybe because last year when David Cameron (our MP) and Father Christmas were switching the lights on, a woman climbed the safety barrier and was arrested - well, they have to keep Santa safe!
It looks like fun. I love to hear drummers, so exciting. I used to belong to an African drumming group. Sorry to hear about the eyes, I'm sure they can do so much more these days.
How amazing to have all these drummers in one spot! It must have sounded very un-English? Tell Harry if he has the drops for glaucoma it makes the hair come back!
What I love about your shots Pat is the way you immerse us in your life, feel like I am out and about with you, in fact wish I were, your social life is more rocking than mine! Wonderful fun shot, full of excitement and action.
@quietpurplehaze I haven't taken the label off the second one yet Hazel...in theory I am going to take it back but I do like it!!! Have kept number one & number three!
So nice to see street entertainment at this time of the year.
Pat, if you like it, I think maybe you should keep it!!
