Loads of different foods last night on the High Street but the most tempting were the pancakes here. Most people seemed to be having a banana & chocolate filling....they looked delicious!
Talking of food I am loving Masterchef..The Professionals. The final three with the result on Thursday.
From the first moment I saw him I picked Adam out.....I am routing for him!
Three good things:
1. A blissful facial today...I am all plumped up & glowing!!
2. Harry has been out to his bowling lunch & only wants a light tea!
3. Cathy is giving me a pedicure later.
Lovely shot Pat, you can't beat a crepe eaten while hot!! I'm with you, Adam all the way, we said the same when we saw him all thise weeks ago. The other 2 guys are good too, the best final in years. The Italian chef last night was off the scale brilliant, his restaurant has gone straight to the top of places I want to go before I take my food through a straw.
@seanoneill I thought Massimo was so lovely & such a warm guy....there is one chef, I think Scott & Tom went to his restaurant in London...he was a nasty piece of work, so critical where as the chef last night brought out the best in each one with kindness...Amazing food too!
@happypat We said the same. Michael Wignall. I wouldn't eat at his restaurant if you paid me, the food would have no soul. Sat Bains is about 15 minutes from us, and we had the Tasting Table there a couple of years ago. He is such a nice guy, he fed me chocolate with rock salt off a pallete knife and when I asked for another he duly obliged!!
The steam monster cooks a mean pancake. I didn't notice the lady with the hat at first, all I saw was an arm out of the steam pouring on the crepe batter. :)
@sabresun She scooped a ladle full of batter & spread it really thinly...I mean too thin for me, it was breaking up...not very well presented for my liking but they were lapping them up...That batter went a long way!!
You'll be all ready to be taken out for a treat then? Love how you've caught the pancake mix mid-flow - and she's not even looking! Also the excited anticipation of the little boy.
@seanoneill Yes that was his name, I didn't like him at all! Marcus Wareing is a bit the same, very critical ...would make you shake in your shoes!! You would never get Harry to a tasting menu...meat & two veg man & well done at that!!!! Your experience sounds like a proper restaurant that is so welcoming.
Ooo how fun for outdoor eating! You really captured a lot of fun things - the child's expectant watchful face, the pouring of the batter and that lovely curl of steam. Great candid!!
Nice warm shot with the glow from the kitchen and the bright red hat.
Nicely done - so sorry I haven't been keeping up ... hopefully a regular schedule once again will allow me to!
