Outside looking in. by happypat

Outside looking in.

A peek inside through the hairdressers window this afternoon.
Rachel who does my hair has got engaged over the holidays & I went to drop a card in for her. Funnily enough she had just received one from my DIL in NZ ....she beat me to it ...me 2 miles away & Lesley 12000 miles away.

BTW can you spot me?

Feeling for those affected by the terrible weather we are having. Couldn't believe my eyes last night on the TV when I saw a boat with food supplies being steered between the tops of hedges & trees in a lane somewhere in Somerset. Below them where the tops of cars !!!

Three good things:
1. Frangipane mince tarts eaten at a friends house on my walk.
2. Washing almost dry outside.
3. Lydia has an interview at Leeds uni!!
Great street shot, love the reflections.

Neat shot! The reflections are great!

I can't see you - tried hard! No 1 sounds great. I too was horrified by those shots in Somerset on TV news. Saw a lot of flooding in fields on a trip to the farm to get eggs today but nothing like that.

I see you, Pat...it took a few minutes to realize that was a mirror and not artwork on the wall. :) Fun shot! The weather in your part of the UK sounds wretched...hoping blue skies return soon. Good luck to Lydia with her interview!!

Lovely shot with all the light and reflections.
I could see your elbows reflected in the window I think and then I spotted the photographer with a red hat I think!!
I love your three things today! Nice to continue eating delicious things for a week or two. And washing dry outside!!! WOW!
Hope Lydia's interview goes well. So many unknowns ahead!

Made me smile when I spotted you Mum!! Love this picture! Steve McCabe put pictures of snow in Scotland on FB. He was leaning on the top wire of a cable car transporting wire! No sign of the cable cars as they were buried in the snow!! Eeeekk! x x x x

Delighted for Lydia by the way! x

This has to be looked at large. Wonderful reflections!

These sort of shots are tricky - my camera keeps focussing on the glass rather than what's behind it - nice one Pat
January 7th, 2014
An interesting shot - I couldn't find you until someone else's comment gave me a hint.

Great reflections

I cant see you really - mind you its very bright where I'm sitting with the window in my face. I can see several reflections too! Imagine all that flooding in Somerset!

I think I see you...sorry haven't commented much since NY. You have taken some great shots and lovely to see pics of your NZ family. Your weather sounds atrocious on our tv news. Stay warm...you will be looking forward to NZ summer 😊

Great depth and reflection in this shot making it well worth a large view.
January 8th, 2014
No I can't spot you - even viewed large! What an interesting shot though. Good luck Lydia!

@happypat

I don't think you are old enough to be wearing a red hat (as in 'I shall wear purple and a red hat')!!!!!
January 8th, 2014
@quietpurplehaze Oh I think I am Hazel.....I love that poem...I promise I won't spit though!!
