The village shop in Scorton all dolled up for the festival weekend, I liked the different reds in this photo.
I went to Lancaster last night with Cathy, we had a very nice evening eating supper at Bella Italia & later in a small bar in town while we waited for Lydia & friends.
I was so cross with myself, it's so long since I was in a town at night I had forgotten how many photo ops there were - I didn't take my camera!
Three good things:
1. The smell of Lilacs.
2. Enjoying the World Champion Snooker Championship in our house.
3. The cutting round the B&B sign worked last night, a couple from NZ in last night when I came back from Lancaster. Luckily Harry stayed at home nursing his cold so was there to greet them!
Ha ha ! this time I will not ask -- I can see that the delivery boy and shopkeeper are dummies -- the scene reminds me ot "Qpen all hours " with David Jason and Ronnie Barker !!!!!! Lovely well kept property and as you say many shades of red . Glad you had a nice night out bah for forgetting the camera !!
This is so interesting! I always thought Spar was a South African group but now I see you have one! I must say that yours looks far more inviting than any of ours that I've seen!
A lovely quirky capture - and thanks for sharing my NZ photos. We're in the middle of trying to put together one of these online photo albums - not easy with over 4,000 pictures to choose from! Peter is keen to come up and stay sometime soon - maybe in June?
@busylady lovely Judith would look forward to that! June is fine except the 28th possibly when the London meet up is on.....if possible I would like to go to that although train tickets get dearer & dearer!
I daresay those faces must be known to some! Funny positioning, - they look as if they have stiff necks! It must be still light when you were at dinner in Lancaster? You could get a shot of the castle sometime?
@maggiemae they have rather long necks don't they maggiemae.....it was light to start with & I do love taking the camera to Lancaster...I have photographed the castle a few times over the last three years at various points & it's always a favourite place. The people in the town last night were the most interesting...I don't know about NZ at night but the young today wear such weird clothes.....not much on at night time!!
I bet it will be quite refreshing, and Pat, as a member of 365, I am so surprised that you have not learned that one hard lesson. Never leave home without your camera.
My friendly greetings from Russia!
Love the reds😊
