A filler today I'm afraid as I have spent nearly all day in bed.
The 3rd Good Thing yesterday was a very bad thing & it serves me right for eating the wrong things. My gall bladder has been playing up really badly last night & today.
I managed to comment on a few last night but generally I have been very lax today!
I am due to have keyhole surgery early next month so this has really concentrated the mind!
Three good things:
1. I had nothing important to do today!
2. Chatting to @jantan@lucypics online made me realise a lens I had was good for macro....I think! 17mm 1-28 ..I thought it was just a street lens! Someone will enlighten me I hope & tell me I understood macro lenses a bit better! Many thanks to both of them......a wonderful thing that so many are willing to help in the photography world!
the problem with something that is only 17mm Pat is that you would have to get very very close to whatever you are photographing, not sure what lens it would need to have a very short minimum focus distance for macro type work. I can't remember what camera you have.
@jantan Olympas E-5 Pen Jan......I know it's not that good for macro but better than I thought! I just took a bee on a flower...will post it on extras...see what you think. Not up to your standards mind you!
ooh sorry about the gall bladder thing....hope you're feeling better soon and the wait doesn't feel too long. What is possible with keyhole surgery is so amazing!
Ooh ! Pat , so sorry that you are suffering with the gallbladder !! I hope you will have it sorted a.s.a.p. -- such terrible pain I believe !
Super silhouette of the little gull perched on the struts(as you put it !! )
Nice shot here Pat, Sorry to here you are unwell, but pleased to here you are booked for surgery.. good to get that sorted, rest up and take things easy in the meantime..
Great strong lines to interest one in this picture! With gall bladder problems, best to keep off the fatty things and limit protein. Glad there is surgery scheduled.
This is fantastic Pat, the tones, shapes, composition are really strong.
One to be proud of Pat, hope you are feeling better soon and good luck with the keyhole
Beautiful shot. Know what you mean about gallbladder problems. I have the same trouble. Can only eat bacon in very small doses otherwise I suffer. I do sympathize. Hope the surgery goes well. A friend of mine had keyhole surgery for gallbladder removal and was home the next day.

Oh dear, glad it's going to get sorted but so so painful for you. Sending hugs from across the sea😍
