Every third Wednesday the weekly market in a Great Eccleston is a Farmers a Market. The usual stalls are increased with a number of extra stalls selling local produce.
You can hardly park in the village & made worse at the moment because one of the side roads is full of scaffolding making the usual flow of traffic much worse. If you care to look very closely you can see the roofing guys on the roof right in the back left hand side.
I popped in to buy some cold meats & tea cakes for lunch.
Three good things:
1. Silly us spent the afternoon in the cinema.....Harry thought we were mad, such a lovely day...we enjoyed the film Belle.
2. Looks like a longer term B&B staying indefinitely from tonight.
3. Left the label,on my dress today but don't think anyone noticed!
Yep I see the Roofers.. haha I saw a lady with her tag out yesterday,.. saw a lady with her skirt tucked into her knickers a while ago but I did tell her,, Love the look of the farmers market.. lucky you..
I'll have one of those dahlias, please. I don't mind what colour but it's to console Ray as one he paid a good bit of money for at a specialist nursery last summer appears to just be dead. And the slugs are enjoying the one which is not dead!
Lovely to see all those flowers! We don't have flowers at our Farmer's market - mainly vegetables. Nice to see these shoppers in short sleeves! I bet people noticed the label but being so tactful didn't say anything! Its like when you have the back neck label poking out and someone quietly comes up behind you and tucks it in! You say thank you but wish you had noticed before!
@maggiemae oh no I never noticed Maggiemae....must be something to do with the way I scroll, it's always happening! Never meant to do that in a million yearsHa ha!
Will reinstate you pronto & catch up when I have done a breakfast!
Looks like a lovely market. Tea cakes, oh I miss them, we don't get them here. The nearest we have is raisin toast.
Had to smile at the label on your dress. I saw a lady a few days ago pushing pram with her very new born baby in it. Obviously it was her first time out with the new baby and she was walking very proudly along. I didn't have the heart to tell her that her cardigan was inside out. Oh the joys of new motherhood.
