I am totally uninspired this week for any decent photos...partly the weather & partly that I haven't had any time much to think of a subject & pursue it to a satisfactory conclusion.
We went to see Gone Girl today at the cinema ....glad I had read the book because you could get a little confused although my friend enjoyed it without reading it.
Two unpleasant people who deserved each other I thought & still think.......the main guy was not as I imagined him but the rest was OK.
We were bumped in the rear on the way home unfortunately but not much damage & hopefully will be repaired without any problem without an insurance claim.
Three good things:
1. Richard is going to win Bake Off!!
2. Caught the slug in the sitting room that was coming up from the flag floors leaving silvery trails......tried to catch it when I came down in the night but to no avail. Slug pellets in the end!
3. Thre B&B in all week & only one wants any breakfast !
Pat, I feel you lead a charmed life! Like the sticky burrs and the lone ladybird and glad he didn't get caught in the web. Good news re the slug - ugh!!!
Love this photo, and I love reading your little 'diary entries' the one on Padlocks site I found particularly amusing and true (many brains/no common sense) as it rings very true about how highly intelligent maths geek son. We went to see Gone Girl last week, I really enjoyed it (apart from the constant f words. Sorry about the bump, you are safe which is the main thing :( and Louis is going to win tonight! Well I must admit we were lucky today...no whiplash & I was t driving....the traffic was terrible & stopped suddenly to let a car turn into a drive . We stopped but the guy behind didn't!
Sorry it's a filler...raining & the sea wasn't visible in the rain. Slug pellets are the thing Alison .......I tried salt , no good.
Richard will win Judith!
@judithg wood pellets.....must ask about those.....better perhaps with pets around. We haven't been in the sitting room to sit for over a week because of Lily's little problem....keeping in the kitchen with the hard floors for obvious reasons. Will be able to light the wood burner at the weekend as all is well with her now.
We can all do with fillers at one time or another! This is a worthy one. I've been feeling uninspired - like -I've done it all before! Then along came Mr Moon!
@maggiemae I have been getting a bit behing with looking at photos these last few days...feel it's all getting on top of me a bit! Must look at Mr Moon.
Great photo! Love the inclusion of the ladybird ... very autumnal! Interesting thoughts on the film ... I wasn't a fan of the book, but may still see the film!
@helly31 the film followed the book pretty much....I did enjoy it but if I hadn't read the book I might have been confused! The ending isn't that brilliant of course but worth two for the price of one on Orange Wdnesday!
A neat shot - there's so much to see in it - cobwebs, flower spikes, ladybird… Just lovely. Pity about your car, but pleased you weren't injured. @julzmaioro and I saw Hip-Hoperation today - lovely film about a Hip hop dance troupe aged 66-94… NZ movie.

The ladybird looks all snug but precarious in amongst those spikes. Lovely shot
@dide wasn't my car thank goodness Dianne!
I like this actually - the detail is so sharp.
