I'll take the high road... by happypat

I'll take the high road...

The view down onto Loughrigg Terraces yesterday....we took the high road they took the low one. A walk for all types, parents with children & folks who hadn't quite the energy to do the higher walk took the road below & anyone with a bit more go in them or mountain bikers stuck to the top road.

We walked along this track all the way to Grasmere, had soup in a cafe then crossed over the main road to Keswick & walked back to the car along the other side.

Three good things:
1. All the Christmas decorations down & put away.
2. Some contact with the chap who owes me money with promises to pay so much a week! Better than nothing!
3. I have just finished a good book called My Life in Houses by Margaret Forster.
Lovely countryside and a magical winter shot. Fav. Thanks for the book tip too.

Those on the high road get the fabulous view...as well as the extra calorie burn!
Love that you listed a book recommendation in your three good things. I've been looking for a good book. All of my recent reads have been rather mediocre.

Beautiful view Pat and the tiny people really give it a sense of perspective. There do seem to be quite a lot of them! . Thanks for the book mention I like Margaret Forster so I can add it to my list. Sorry about the man who left owing you money. Just had an email form Amazon saying they owed me a £350 refund for a camera they had failed to deliver. I wish. I've forwarded it to their spoof department. It is scary what these spoof emails know about you.
