Stepping stones by happypat

Stepping stones

Lily sleeps in her basket underneath the lamp where it's warm.
To get down she uses the drawer knobs as stepping stones.

I have been to see The Second Marigold Hotel with a friend this afternoon.....I can see the attraction for India & Bollywood films!

Three good things:
1. Half way through the film I remembered to switch my very loud phone onto silent.
2. Watching some long time older actors still doing their stuff wonderfully!
3. Vue cinema are continuing the 241 scheme that has been discontinued by Orange. We make good use of that on a Wednesday.
Wonderful timing capture and excellent processing. FAV.

Love the feel to this

Oh, I can't wait to go and watch that film! Was watching the trailer this morning.. so many of my favourite actors/actresses in it, and yes - Bollywood - colour, music, life, laughter! :)

Fantastic photo this, Pat - the toning and 'caught in action' are just fabulous.
March 3rd, 2015
Superb processing, Pat. Fav.

Love this! What a smart kitty! Can't wait to see that movie...I don't think it comes out here until Friday! Loved the first one!!
March 3rd, 2015
Excellent shot and processing
March 3rd, 2015
I just love the timing and the processing

Great perspective
March 3rd, 2015
A super action shot -- cats always have way and means don't they !! Best place to be in the cinema this cold day -- the wind is bitter --Sounds an interesting film !
March 3rd, 2015
@anazad511 Thank you Ana for your kind fave!
March 3rd, 2015
@peggysirk Well worth seeing just for the colour & the dancing....just so uplifting Peggy! What I would give to be ten years younger & to have the where with all to travel the world to such places! I am willing but the other half is more a home bird!
March 3rd, 2015
@lorrainelouise Thanks Lorrains..glad you like it!
@graemestevens Thank you Graeme for your nice comments.
@denisefuller The timing was just the thing to get right Denise!
March 3rd, 2015
@gailmmeek Thank you Gail...the dancing at the end is just amazing!
March 3rd, 2015
@snaphappi thanks for your fave Maggie.....appreciated!

cinema was as busy as I have ever seen it the afternoon.....you will be dancing in your seat!
March 3rd, 2015
@kimcrisp Thanks Kim.
March 3rd, 2015
@beryl The wind on the front at Clevelys was horrendous Beryl......worth the cold though to see this film. Cats are so clever! Thank Beryl.
March 3rd, 2015
Perfectly timed with awesome light and tones. FAV.
March 3rd, 2015
Bep
Great timing capture and a fav for this clever kitten.
March 3rd, 2015
@kwind Thank you Kim.....I am so surprised at the reaction to this picture.....very pleased though!
March 3rd, 2015
@gijsje Thank you too Bep...this kitten is sixteen in May...she thanks you very much for thinking she is younger!
March 3rd, 2015
Bep
@happypat
Sorry Pat, I know nothing about cats and kittens. Sixteen! You're not kidding, are you?
March 3rd, 2015
I love this Pat. Such a pretty cat and like all cats she knows the best place to be!
March 3rd, 2015
Such a lovely atmospheric moment.
March 3rd, 2015
Great shot and I love the light on Lily's whiskers.. must go to Marigold hotel.. they are a great bunch of actors.. Lily is a great age..
March 3rd, 2015
It's a terrific shot Pat, a really interesting pov and a great action shot of the cat. I met a friend who'd seen the film and she said she enjoyed it, but maybe not quite as much as the first one. Fav!
March 3rd, 2015
@thistle She doesn't look or act it Bep.....hard to tell the age of a cat!
March 3rd, 2015
@thistle Thanks Joyce....a rather ugly cat to be honest...if you ever come up our way you can see why....bent back & no tail but her beautiful nature shines through!
March 3rd, 2015
@jokristina Thanks Jo...she does put her paws on every knob but I didn't catch that bit!
March 3rd, 2015
@julzmaioro It's worth seeing just for the colour & the wedding dance Julz!
March 3rd, 2015
How ingenious and made me smile. Like the tones in the shot. We have a Vue so must investigate 241!
March 3rd, 2015
@busylady I think I probably agree to that...the plot was a bit rambling at times but the music & dance tremendous! Thank Judith.
March 3rd, 2015
@quietpurplehaze There is a leaflet that explains it Hazel....just the same except a different number to ring. Lily is quite resourceful!
March 3rd, 2015
I think Lily has just been up here checking on how many wine bottles have gone in one night! Dear Lily - she is well looked after. I'm dying to go to this movie - on here at the moment. Judy Dench and Maggie Smith are just stars!
March 3rd, 2015
Your Lily is wonderful. Ours is a rescue cat! My old cat lived until she was 25! I must see the film. I adored the first one.
March 3rd, 2015
I love the way Lily is surrounded by a halo of light. Can't wait to see the movie.
March 3rd, 2015
Fav for me! Perfect catch. Love the light and your processing. Bet you'd never have thought of processing a photo like this before 365! Might try the film on Saturday.
March 3rd, 2015
Just checking out a couple of 365ers while I am having my early cuppa and before we set off on our road trip.
Cats are so smart aren't they. Love this shot.
We saw Marigold last week. Just love all the all time favourite actors and it is such a 'feel good' movie and funny too. Hope you enjoyed it.
March 3rd, 2015
@maggiemae Yes don't miss it Maggiemae... Maggie Smith is particularly good. Thanks for Lily's compliments!
March 3rd, 2015
@maggiemae She definitely counts the wine bottles!
March 3rd, 2015
@ceilidh It will cheer you up Margaret.....a feel good film! The dance at the end is glorious!
March 3rd, 2015
@kwiksilver The sun was shining through the kitchen window.....it was better in colour really but the detail didn't show up as well. Thanks Gillian.
March 3rd, 2015
@judithg No you're right Judith I never would have done anything like it. The film was good ....an odd straggly bit but on. The whole it was just India that was amazing...there is so much to see! Actually thinking of going to see Boyhood tomorrow...it's the senior film on just for one showing. Two films in two days! I am very curious about the way it spanned 12 years.
March 3rd, 2015
@onewing Oh I did Babs...wasn't that dance great....the actors are excellent but I love the young guy ....he is a breath of fresh air! Have a great holiday.
March 3rd, 2015
@happypat Boyhood quite slow but I loved it - possibly because the son & daughter in the film are essentially Rachel & Adam's age so it really resonated at the end.
March 3rd, 2015
@judithg Well that's good enough for me.....senior day so I will be a,ong all the oldies & am allowed free biscuits!
March 3rd, 2015
WOW love this photo......I knew if was yours before I saw your name!!! You have a distinctive style or something and it's great!!!!
Nice to know the film was good. We're at home this weekend so perhaps a visit to the cinema in Aberdeen would be an idea!!
March 3rd, 2015
@sarah19 Yes do go Sallie....just a look at India alone is reason to go....never been in such a full cinema for ages! Thanks for your kind words too!
March 3rd, 2015
What a superb shot - timing, dof, lighting , processing - well done!!! I wonder if she had a tail if she'd still need the knobs?!?!
March 3rd, 2015
Lovely capture of Lily :)
March 3rd, 2015
@bpaquette interesting thought Barbara.....she might have better balance but I think it's just to break her fall, it's quite a jump to the floor! Thanks.
March 3rd, 2015
@willowdragon Thanks Al...not as pretty as your lovely cats!
March 3rd, 2015

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on Lily's photo....she is very pleased & I am very surprised at the reception this photo has received.....funny how some quick shots just appeal & then you can plan a proper photo for ages & it goes down like a lead balloon! Much obliged to you all!
March 4th, 2015
beautiful post processing Pat, you are rocking with the last two shots (seaside beach and this)
March 4th, 2015
@phil_howcroft Thank Phil......I have done some rubbishy ones before that though...surprised at the reaction to this one though!
March 4th, 2015
