Bonfire

I walked along the canal bank at Bilsborrow this afternoon.
This chap was burning leaves & branches....the smell was lovely & autumny.
My friend has a house along the canal just to the right of this photo & her garden runs down to the water too.
I had a comfort stop at Barton Grange Garden Centre as I walked past & managed to come out with some cards & tree decorations....how did that happen?

Three good things:
1. A finding day today ....I found two important things in my life, my left hearing aid which has been missing since Sunday & my sat nav disc which turned up in another cd case.
2. A new ironing board cover....so much better to iron with this morning.
3. An evening G&T.

Such a gorgeous scene! Love this! Reminds me a bit of the bayou country of Louisiana, minus the cypress trees and Spanish moss. I can practically smell the burning leaves just looking at the smoke.

looks an idyllic place to live. Even just to walk. Love your 3 good things today. I am getting some hearing aids in a couple of weeks (almost the price of a small car!! ) and dread the thought of losing one. They are so tiny. glad you found yours. I am looking forward to not having to ask people to repeat themselves. Now comes the hard part - convincing my husband he should get some too!
