A rather unusual men's shop selling expensive men's clothes, shoes & accessories in Alnwick.
Descending into the basement we were surprised to come across a barbers shop!
Everything for the modern mans comfort!
Three good things:
1. I have been to see a brilliant film today called Brooklyn. Very good reviews & it did live up to the book in fact the end was tidied up better in a feel good way. Rather slow moving but very charming with beautiful fifties clothes, I could have stayed in for the next showing if I had nobody at home!
2. A morning on the telephone catching up with no.1 son & my sister.
3. Washing dried outside!
I studied this before I scrolled down to your name and had said to myself -- " this must be Pats "!!

Nice to have family chats on the phone -- I hope your sister if bearing up and feeling positive these days .

@beryl ha ha Beryl, you know my type of photo well! I did take a photo of the sea shore at Clevelys but I was bored with that view so I used a filler instead! My sister is in great spirits thank you Beryl, she had her last injection on Tuesday so in theory is finished her treatment except for the tablets whic will be more long term. If I was near you I would take you to see Brooklyn!
I also knew this was yours as soon as I opened it up. I feel as if I get to go shopping with you...and in for more lovely and quaint shops than we have in the states. Beautifully captured

@jgpittenger Thank you Jane...I do tend to go for the shops & people shots I must say, having lived most of my adult life in the middle of a field I love to spend time in busy areas. There are more & more quaint individual shops in towns & villages these days & long live the independent trader.
Wow I love the photo and the concept! Could definitely do with one somewhere here. Christmas presents for my guys are getting trickier by the year!
I actually wish that Allan's hairdresser did ladies as well as gents as she a real artist with scissors!
Such a great idea. never easy to clothes shop with a man and if you can walk past clothes he goes for his haircut you might get lucky!! Pleased your sister is doing well it must be such a relief for you all
I like the pictures etc at an angle on the back wall! We all know how good men are at shopping - the quickest decision with no comparisons so this would be a good place!
