We have had a fantastic walk today up in the hills above Downham in Lancashire.
Over five hours up hill & down dale in wind sunshine & rain!
I took loads of photos so you will no doubt see some more in the future.
We all wore Wellington boots as we have had so much rain but must admit they are not the best footwear to wear. I forgot to take my Wellington socks & my thin shoe socks kept slipping down so I have two blisters on my heels.
Above you can see Pendle hill well known for witches lore.
Three good things:
1. Good company & exercise.
2. Stunning countryside.
3. Hot coffee out of a flask.
4. We remembered to have our own little silence for France an hour later than everyone else but we stood in the middle of the field in silence for two minutes.
