I know this photo is a tad blurred in places but loved the way the light shine straight onto the farmhouse.
I took loads of rainbow shots but each one had rain drops on the lens.
This rainbow was double & arched all the way over, pretty spectacular!
Cinema this afternoon to see Lady in a Van.
Maggie Smith was just amazing & the guy taking the part of Allan Bennet was his spitting image.
I enjoyed it very much but preferred Brooklyn last week.
It had that odd querky Allan Bennet theme which isn't always my favourite although I loved him in Talking Heads.
I liked the romance of Brooklyn slightly better personally.
Three good things:
1. The tide wasn't too high when I was watching the film. One thing that freaks me out is thinking that sea is high up over the road!
2. Looking forward to the pottery programme tonight on TV.
3. Gaviscon tablets. I have had to come off my prescription anti acid tablets for a fortnight before having a gastroscopy in the morning. They have worked reasonably well but will be glad to get back to the usual tomorrow.
A wonderful capture of the double rainbow , and I love the way the light plays on the farmhouse -- the blurriness around the edges adds to the charm of this image and 00I thoroughly like it Pat --A fav for me ! Best wishes tomorrow with your gastroscopy tomorrow ! -- hope all goes wall for you !
What a nice afternoon ,dry warm and comfortable 00,away from the blustery threats of Barney !! I had seen previews of this film on TV and thought it would be good -- as I think Maggie Smith is a wonderful character actress !!
OMG !! sorry about the silly spellings and errors in my comment !! (just woken up from a snooze !! and fingers seem to do their own thing on the keyboard !! )
@beryl Quite OK Beryl....my writing is very odd at times...I blame the computer! Thank you for your Fave & good wishes, will be glad when it's over I must say!
I think the blurs add to the picture because of the clear focus on the cottage. Beautiful scene - fav. Good luck with the gastroscopy - I had one and they didn't find anything to explain my continued heartburn. That was years ago and I eventually diagnosed it myself to be part of menopause. Not so in your case though - bit late for that!
@maggiemae gee thanks maggiemae!! Only laughing, nothing like having your age emphasised!! I know you are joking as you can't talk! I have continuos heartburn & have been on anti acid medication for years & they like to check me out occasionally. This is the second one I have had. Apparently you can get a bug that causes it & you can go on anti biotics to cure. Mustn't have a G&T in the evening, I had such tummy ache after that last time! What do you take now then for yours?
I love how there's a patch of sunlight at the end of the rainbow, and I didn't even notice the blurry patches. Your eye is taken straight to the rainbow, I think Peter takes Omeprazole for his tummy troubles. He now takes tablets morning and night and they work well - as long as he remembers to take them!
@busylady yes same here Judith but mine are called Lapranzole or similar. I have just one in the morning but think I need an extra one. I always remember as I am soon reminded if I forget.
Such a beautiful double rainbow or should I say rainbows. I hope all goes well for you tomorrow , is this the test with the camera , if so do go for the sedation I had this with out and it was terrible, may be other s can tolerate it better
@snowy oh dear that doesn't sound good Diana. I have had it done before with just the spray, seemed ok but I am rather nervous this time. Have to go without food this time which I didn't think I had to last time.
Love the double rainbow. And don't apologise for the blur - it adds interest to the shot! Others, me included, would have added the blur in processing ;)
Wonderful double rainbow and well captured Pat. I find the light in this stormy weather really difficult. Hope your gastroscopy is over and went OK.
I know these investigations are great in that they can help and protect from more serious problems but that doesn't make them fun to have done! Take care
@thistle Thank you Joyce, it's over with but can't say I liked it....seemed worse this time. They did a couple of biopsies so it did take longer but all well that's the main thing.

Good luck tomorrow.
Good luck with the gastroscopy. I have both ends done every two years, not fun. One end for diverticulitis and polyps and the other for esophagitis.
