Three Santas & a chicken (Revised Title: Three Santas & Humpty!)
I popped into Dreams in Garstang to take today's photo. I know I can always get a shot in there.
I do like these very brightly coloured tree decorations....very striking!
We have a question.... @ladymagpie thinks it might not be a chicken but Humpty Dumpty....I think she might be right? What do you think?
I have had a very stiff neck this week for some reason, it's not too bad during the day but by the time night comes my head is so heavy feeling & sore to turn that I have been sleeping really badly.
I am dosed up with ibuprofen which is helping.
Harry blames being on my iPad too much!!
I drove through St Michaels today & I got a sense of how high the water lever was by the debris line almost to the top of the roadside hedges. Lots of wet carpets & skips outside flooded houses, made you realise the extent of the damage done by the water.
Three good things:
1. The Town Hall clock in Garstang playing carols on the hour.
2. Hake at half price...that's when I buy it, half for tonight's tea & half in the freezer.
3. A good cup of tea!
Lovely Christmas decorations which at first I thought where chocolate. Now I'm expecting FOWL play here as I can't see a chicken, unless it's a chicken egg dressed as Humpty Dumpty. Just thought, perhaps your chickens are different tup north (Wink)
@ladymagpie Ooh you might be right Heather I took the second from the left to be a chicken.. Is that not a chicken beak or is it Humpty Dumpty? A mystery! I shall put it to the vote!
I think I agree with Heather Pat. Looks more like Humpty Dumpty but whoever it is it's a great Christmas shot. I remember driving out of town months after the water had gone down and seeing people living in caravans in their driveways. Really brings it home to you the amount of damage and the length of time it takes to fix things.
Humpty Dumpty yes, I think. Hope your neck will get better, Pat, and hardly like to say that was one of Ray's symptoms before he went down with a sickness bug. He now has my cold - and I've still got it as well. What luck we have Neil here to help us out!!
@quietpurplehaze On dear you have both been ill.....so sorry for you, hope Neil doesn't get it too. You always feel worse when it's Christmas! It's ok tonight, not sure if it's deadened with tablets of it's better. I am interested to see if it gets worse after I have been sitting here commenting.....it gets bad then so if it does Harry is right!
Great little decorations --and I will not get into the debate of chicken or Humpty !! Hope your stiff neck will soon get better -- so miserable having constant pain -- this damp weather does not help , !! I should indulge in a hot relaxing bath !
All these Santas hanging around on motorbikes instead of sleighs! I don't know what the world is coming to! Humpty should be on a wall! Google some exercises to do for your sore neck, Pat - they really do help!
These are lovely! Poor St Michael's and more flooding to come. Have you tried a hot wheat bag on your neck? I think Humpty but when he hatches he may be a chicken ;0)
My neighbours always send a Christmas card with them in it doing something daft - this year I thought there was some sort of scary creature in it until Rachel told be in was my neighbour holding the camera!
