The road ahead

I visited my niece & her seventeen month old twins this morning.
It was raining hard as usual as I drove over to Caton via Quernmore.

Ivy & Martha are sweet girls & it was a lovely visit.

I tried out the new Aldi in Garstang today, pleasantly surprised & they had lots of tempting offers.

Three good things:
1. A visit from Jack, Lydia & Mathew this afternoon, all home for the holidays.
2. The sun came out this afternoon briefly!
3. A night in!!
A scenery and road so very much many of the roads in rural mid Wales -- At first I thought it must be so until I realised it was one of yours . Nice time to see all the family youngsters !

The title is so apt! Lovely stone fence and little white farmhouse! You must be so sick of the rain! We need to put the world at an angle and let all the bad weather slip over the side!

@beryl Quite high up here Beryl, over the top along quiet roads & it was pretty bleak at some points.

That's a long straight road and it does look a bit bleak. Nicely captured.

Love how your eye is led right into this shot. It looks a very grey day, a bit like here today too. We arrived back in Australia to 39 degrees and sunshine and since then the temperature has dropped to 21 and it has rained non stop.

Super capture, I like how the road leads right into the distance

Love the way you've captured this Pat. So typical of the weather we're having as well! We have an Aldi here and it's very popular I don't go often as the car park is almost always full!

I love my Aldi shop and have been using them for a few months. Now I mustn't pick you up, bu how many are "her twin seventeen month old twins", doesn't that make 4 of them (Wink). Lovely capture with the road drawing you into the picture. FAV

@thistle This new one has a large carp ark but interestingly Booths & Aldi are right next to each other just a wall separating them. We were surprised when they made an opening in the wall into Booths car park so we can park in either one. Booths have been a great asset to Garstang by providing a very large free car park so we were surprised they shared it with the rival supermarket.
