I meant to go back to the walking stick entries after the judging. He had only just started so I missed getting the sticks with their colourful rosettes on them.
Had a great night last night watching Jody Prenger in Shirley Valentine. I struggled a little with the 'scouse' accent at times but Jody was amazing in this one person play. How she learnt all those lines I have no idea! I would perhaps liked a couple of other actors in the show but really it wasn't necessary.
Three good things:
1. I had my flu jab this morning.
2. No queue, straight in!
3. Autumn colours just starting.
Such a lovely sight which brings back happy memories of my Dad making walking stick amongst other wood crafts after his retirement -- I still have some of his sticks ..and small pieces of furniture !
Good grief who would of thought that so many crafty people made walking sticks... are they made with a sheep's horn?..
